§ 62-32. Suspension of water service for noncompliance with backflow prevention assembly requirements.

  • (a)

    Notwithstanding any notice requirements set forth in this article the city may, without prior notice, immediately suspend water service to any establishment which, if required, does not have an approved backflow prevention assembly or where an installed backflow prevention assembly is not in conformance with the requirements of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Cross Connection Control Backflow Manual, March 2000, Fifth Edition, as amended, or the city's requirements.

    (b)

    To reinstate service the property owner must either install or operate an approved backflow prevention assembly, and pay in full any late fees and turn-on fees as prescribed by resolution in accordance with section 1-16.
