§ 30-227.1. Inspection.

Latest version.
  • (a)

The requirements of this article shall be enforced by the city engineer or his designee. The city engineer or the engineer's designee shall inspect the work and shall require the owner to obtain services to provide adequate on-site inspections and/or compaction testing by a geotechnical engineer, approved by the city engineer, unless the engineer has determined that such inspection requirements may be waived due to the nonhazardous nature of the grading.

    (b)

As a condition for permission to discharge into the stormwater system, the owner of any property that discharges into the stormwater system expressly consents that the city manager, or the city manager's designee, may enter at all reasonable times in or upon any private or public property for the purpose of inspecting and investigating conditions and practices which may be violations of this article.

    (c)

Upon satisfactory execution of all approved grading plans and other requirements, the city engineer shall issue a certification of completion. If the city engineer finds any existing conditions not as stated in any application, grading permit, or approved plan he may refuse to approve further work until a revised grading plan which will conform to the existing condition has been prepared and approved.
