§ 22-30. Duty of parents' appearance in court.

Whenever a summons and complaint for an alleged violation of this Code is filed against a child (person under the age of 18 years), the court shall send to the parent or guardian's last known address, a notice that includes the alleged violation, date of the violation, location at which the violation occurred and the date, time and place of the scheduled court appearance, and an order that the parent or guardian shall appear with the child at each and every court appearance. It shall be unlawful for a parent or guardian to fail to appear at each and every required court appearance.
