§ 54-27. Credit sales; tax due.

  • Whenever tangible personal property is sold under a conditional sales contract or lease-purchase agreement whereby the retailer retains title as security for all or part of the purchase price or whenever the retailer takes a purchase money security interest on such tangible personal property to secure all or part of the purchase price, the total tax based on the total purchase price shall become immediately due and payable. This tax shall be charged and collected by the retailer. No refund or credit shall be allowed to either party to the transaction in the event of repossession.
