§ 2-27. Council elections.

(a)

Whenever both council seats within a ward become open at an election, all candidates must on their nominating petition declare their candidacy for either the four-year or the two-year term.

(b)

In the event there are no candidates for one or both of the seats, such seat shall be declared vacant and filled as a "vacancy" in accordance with section 2.7 of the charter.
